The Chaplet of Saint Michael
Saint Michael, appearing one day in 1751 to Antonia d’Astonac, a most devout Servant of God, told her that he wished to be honored by nine salutations corresponding to the nine Choirs of Angels, which should consist of one Our Father and three Hal Marys in honor of each of the Angelic Choirs.
Promises of St. Michael:
Whoever would practice this devotion in his honor would have, when approaching the Holy Table, an escort of nine angels chosen from each of the nine Choirs. In addition, for the daily recital of these nine salutations, he promised his continual assistance and that all the holy angels during life, and after death deliverance from Purgatory for themselves.
Method of Reciting the Chaplet
This chaplet is begun by saying the following invocation on the medal:
O God, come to my assistance.

Say one Our Father in honor of each of the following leading Angels: St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Raphael, our Guardian Angel.
Say one Our Father on the first bead and three Hail Marys on the next three beads after each of the following nine salutations in honor of the nine Choirs of Angels:
1. By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Seraphim, may the Lord make us worthy to burn with the fire of perfect charity. Amen.
2. By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Cherubim, may the Lord vouchsafe to grant us grace to leave the ways of wickedness to run in the paths of Christian perfection. Amen.
3. By the intercession of St. Michael and the Celestial Choir of Thrones, may the Lord infuse into our hearts a true and sincere spirit of humility. Amen.
4. By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Dominions, may the Lord give us grace to govern our senses and subdue our unruly passions. Amen.
5. By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Powers, may the Lord vouchsafe to protect our souls against the snares and temptations of the devil. Amen.
6. By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of Virtues, may the Lord preserve us from evil and suffer us not to fall into temptation. Amen.

Prayer To St. Michael For the Reign Of The Sacred Heart
O Mary Immaculate, great Queen of Heaven and earth and our gentle advocate, we beg Thee to intercede for us. Pray God to send St. Michael and the holy Angels to ward off all the obstacles contrary to the reign of the Sacred Heart in our souls, our families, our country and in the whole world.
And thou, O holy Michael, Prince of the Heavenly hosts, from our hearts we beg thee to come to our aid.

Glorious St. Michael, Prince of the heavenly hosts, who standest always ready to give assistance to the people of God; who didst fight with the dragon, the old serpent, and didst cast him out of heaven, and now valiantly defendest the Church of God that the gates of hell may never prevail against her, I earnestly entreat thee to assist me also, in the painful and dangerous conflict which I have to sustain against the same formidible foe. O glorious St. Michael, guardian and defender of the Church of Jesus Christ, come to the assistance of this Church, against which the powers of hell are unchained, guard with especial care her august Head, and obtain that for him and for us the hour of triumph may speedily arrive. O glorious Saint Michael, Seraph inflamed with the most ardent love of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, who didst spend thy nights and days in His real Presence and didst find there thy dearest joys, so that thou didst swoon away for very love: vouchsafe, I pray thee, to obtain for me a lively faith, a firm hope and an ardent love toward this intestimable Treasure, this precious Pledge of glory everlasting.
